They tell me I have a generalized anxiety disorder, but I'm beginning to think it's cereal specific.

Doing.
This morning I went on a 30-minute run at working pace. After work I kicked ass during a 60-minute Body Pump class. I also included two 10-minute walks with the poor and injured pup during the day.
Eating.
My morning routine has changed a bit and I now have two bowls of cereal (one before my run and one afterwards). Today my first bowl (un-pictured) was a mix of Post shredded wheat, Earth Fare organic honey wheat puffs, 1/2 banana, and almond milk. My second bowl (pictured above) was a mix of Post shredded wheat, Kashi Indigo morning, 1/2 banana, and almond milk.
Lunch was a spinach salad with roasted red peppers, carrots, 1/2 avocado, feta cheese crumbles, agave nectar, and balsamic vinegar.My afternoon snack was a peach and healthy peanut butter honey granola.
Dinner was wild mushroom couscous tossed with sauteed eggplant, grape tomatoes, garlic, and roasted cashews. Delicious!

ReplyDeleteI have a bit of food anxiety too. you have certain things you need to have access to for a happy life - shelter, money to pay the bills, love...and ya know, cereal!

I definitely get anxiety when I run out of certain foods too- nut butters are definitely the big one!
ReplyDeleteHahaha! You sound so much like me with avocados and romaine. I seriously will go out of my way to head to the store if I know I'm going to be out of either of those. When I want my salads, I want my salads :D
ReplyDeleteIm exactly the same! I have a certain fear of running out of foods and my cupboards are absolutely bursting with stuff (I actually feel quite sorry for my mum! haha)

I can relate to getting anxious about running out of certain foods... There are some foods I just "need" to have at home or elsewise,I feel uncomfortable all the time. In my case,it's cottage cheese/ yogurt,cereal,fruit and veggies!

You work out a lot, are you training for something in specific? Your eats look delicious and cereal = YUM.
ReplyDeleteOh I feel ya..If I don't have a banana every mornings, It somehow throws me off the rest of the day. Many times, I've went to bed thinking, "i have one banana left so I can go to the store after my workout," only to find that the hubby got it before me! Ugh!! I made sure he got an earful! Now I've learned my lesson ;).
