Doing.
This morning I hit my at-home stationary bike for a 35-minute ramp interval ride followed by a short walk with the pup. My skipped workout yesterday and stress-induced state encouraged me to leave work a bit early for a double afternoon workout: a 45-minute spin class followed by a 60-minute Body Pump class. I needed it.
Eating.
Breakfast was a bowl (x2) of Kellogg's All Bran, Cheerios, banana, and cow's milk.
Lunch (Part 1) was a romaine lettuce salad with grape tomatoes, carrots, sunflower seeds, and an Amy's Sonoma burger topped with ketchup and balsamic vinegar. Part 2 of lunch was celery and carrots sticks and peanut butter (un-pictured).
My afternoon snack was a homemade pumpkin-spiced granola and honey-Greek yogurt.
Dinner was basil and olive oil pearled couscous (Near East) tossed with a mixture of sauteed fresh corn and grape tomatoes topped with fresh basil and avocado. Delicious! A spinach salad topped with fresh figs, goat cheese, balsamic vinegar, and agave nectar on the side.
Aww, lucky pup! Whenever my dog gets a scrap of meat from my boyfriend (or if I take her with me to visit family) she absolutely flips out. WHAT IS THIS MOM THIS IS NOT AN APPLE CAN I HAVE MORE???? Haha
ReplyDeleteAnd all of a sudden I have this random craving for Cheerios ;) My puppy will do basically anything for leftovers... I don't blame her though, because as much as I love cereal, eating kibble every day and for every meal would get kind of old.
ReplyDeleteMy dog loves her bacon too, heck I love my bacon!
ReplyDeleteNot a huge fan of the florals, but the food looks good!
ReplyDeleteL does not look like she needs a diet. :) But come to think of it, she was following my one year old around trying to eat any Cheerios that were dropped. The poor pup is starving!
ReplyDeleteYUM! Not being specific. It all looks great. Even the thought of the burnt bacon!
ReplyDeleteHAHA! How sweet!
ReplyDeletePopcorn is always hovering around my feet whenever I cook any type of food, especially meat. But he's definitely not on a diet because of his hyperactive lifestyle and excessive calorie burning haha ;)
Gah, I just love those Steve Madden boots! They look so good on everyone I have seen wear them! One of these days I am going to cave and get myself some. Kudos for making up your missed workout! That is dedication :)
ReplyDeleteYummm your meals look so delicious! And I love your shirt!
ReplyDeleteCute cardigan! I have those Steve Madden boots and wear them constantly! I had to put Charlie on a "no more human food diet" a few months ago....it was so hard to say no to him when I was eating something I knew he'd like, but I think he feels much better from sticking to mostly dry food.
ReplyDeleteAll your meals look so delicious, i probably should look at blogs just before dinner, it makes me so hungry!
ReplyDeleteMy dog is on diet, he too loves bacon, sausages, cheese etc but it's become he has a sensitive stomach, the vet said that just plain boiled brown rice and plain chicken or white fish like cod is really good for a dog especially if they have a limited diet or need to lose some weight, it's also good to put some veg in their too.
Haha, love the story of your dog's balance in life! ... and I want your boots!
ReplyDeleteThat outfit is so incredibly beautiful! I love it :) Wow your homemade pumpkin-spiced granola looks so delicious, I am craving granola after this post :)
ReplyDeleteI love that your puppy gets a little balance too ;D We all need our "bacon," whatever form it might take for us, haha. And that first picture has me wanting cheerios! That was always my favorite cereal. And wow, your granola looks even better than the store version!
ReplyDeleteI love your outfit - especially those boots! :)
ReplyDeleteI love your outfit! I need a cardigan and boots like that. :)
