weekend review: whole

This weekend I drove 700 miles to drop my beau off at his summer-long internship.

This weekend I cried.

This weekend I ate a lot and cooked very little.

This weekend I indulged in: cheap deep-fried Chinese food, an Oreo milkshake, a bagel smothered in peanut butter and honey, beer, key lime strawberry pie, chocolate chip cookies, red wine, and blueberry pancakes.

This weekend I didn't do a single second of formal exercise.

This weekend ended, I returned to a quiet house, drank two more glasses of wine, and made myself the best dinner I could think of to make myself feel whole again: a warm spinach and broccoli salad and grilled salmon paprika.

  3. Hope you're feeling better today! New week, new start! I have been in long distance relationships myself and they are really difficult, but just focus on all the time you'll have for yourself and friends! It will get easier, promise :)

  15. :( It's okay to cry. I have to tell myself that all the time. I have this weird notion that crying=weak. But, sometimes we just have to let it go. I definitely almost cried at graduation last week and have since.

If you need anyone to hang out with this summer, I am around!! ;)

I am ready for classes to start back next week because I am being sooooooo lazy and I hate it.

Your salad looks yummy, by the way!
