weekend review: better late than never

I usually post my 'weekend reviews', which document my weekend culinary creations, on Monday. Looks like this week I forgot. Here they are, better late than never...

Figure 1. Spring Break baking: banana nutella bread. Holy freakin' crap. I ate this for breakfast, lunch dessert, and real dessert over ice cream and then left the remainder at my parents house before I decided I wanted to live my life eating this bread and this bread alone.

Figure 2. Friday night's dinner: Dijon almond crusted tilapia, roasted asparagus with Dijon-lemon sauce, and rice pilaf (Near East). This tilapia is a must make.

Figure 3. Saturday night's dinner: sesame soba noodles with slivered Brussels sprouts and shrimp. Amazing.

  4. Definitely pinning that banana nutella bread. I have chocolate soy nut butter that would be the perfect replacement for the nutella!

Also I love those sesame soba noodles - I need to make them again.

  5. Holy Moly- making that bread ASAP. I don't have nutella but I'm sure my Justin's Hazelnut Butter will do the trick!
And toast with earth balance has made daily appearances lately- I'm obsessed!

  7. I am one of those 10 percenters that hates bananas, but zucchini/nutella bread would be awesome, and I would probably have never thought of it. Thank you and all the great food bloggers that inspire us and make us think outside the box. I will let you know how it goes.
